Justine Vilgrain is a creative concept designer, curator and entrepreneur. She is also dyslexic. It is from this experience that she created Certified Dyslexic<\/a>, an initiative that helps dyslexic people express themselves in writing with complete confidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A difficult time at school, then a turning point in England<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Diagnosed with dyslexia at a very young age, Justine had a difficult time at school in France. It was in England that she finally found a system suited to the way she learns. She went on to study at Parsons School of Design in New York.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Braw Haus: difference as a creative driving force<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In 2018, she co-founded, with Patricia Gloum, Braw Haus<\/a>, a digital art curation house at the crossroads of art, technology and contemporary culture. There she supports artists and collaborates with brands and institutions internationally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through these projects, she noticed a paradox: in art, difference is celebrated. In society and in the workplace, it is still often stigmatised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A letter to the President, then a stamp<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In 2018, Justine wrote to the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, about dyslexia. When no reply came, she decided to act herself. She created the Certified Dyslexic stamp<\/a> : a simple sign, physical or digital<\/a>, that lets the people you are talking to know you are dyslexic, and prevents hasty judgements about spelling mistakes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Launched in 2021, the Certified Dyslexic awareness campaign<\/a> was displayed in 2022 and 2024 in 500 locations across France, thanks to JCDecaux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A voice for neurodiversity<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Today, Justine Vilgrain develops purpose-driven projects and regularly speaks out for neurodiversity and the inclusion of people with dyslexia, ADHD and invisible disabilities<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
